Although Richard Niles is less well known as a producer, he has nevertheless produced records for stars like Paul McCartney, Pet Shop Boys, Bobby Womack, Kid Creole and even The Troggs with Oliver Reed.

He produced 'Like Butterflies' in 1985 for Dusty Springfield, an unforgettable experience. Moreover he has discovered and developed many new artists including Clive Griffin (Phonogram) and 3 albums for current Verve artist Silje Nergaard whose EMI/Lifetime release 'Tell Me Where You’re Going' reached the top 30 in Britain and #1 in Japan. HUE & CRY’S Showtime ! CD was critically acclaimed and spawned the airplay hit (co-written by Niles) 'Just Say You Love Me'.
